Blue
Berry was in foal to Polings' magnificent young show
stallion Royal Oaks Impressive Lover for a March 2005
foal. She presented us with a red hot chestnut
filly, Royal Oaks Impressive Flare, which can be seen on
our Foal's page.
In May of 2006, Blue Berry produced a flashy silver
dapple pinto colt by Royal Oaks Simply Awesome. This
colt, Charminy Mystical Spindrift is also on our Foal's

I bought Impress as a weanling from Royal Oaks
Farm in Florida. Now a yearling, this flashy triple
registered pinto filly has straight legs, a lovely
arched neck and tons of color. She carries herself very
upright and has a lovely animated hesitation trot. At
her first sanctioned show she went Junior Champion Mare
and Reserve Grand Champion Mare. She has since never
placed less than Reserve Junior Champion Mare and has a
good future in liberty classes. Look for this filly in
the show ring.

Impress
is by the chestnut pinto stallion Royal Oaks Impressive
Lover and out of the black pinto mare Lucky Four’s
Dynamo Darling.

 Lot-Sa-Fun
Fiestas Hot Fudge Sundae was purchased from Michele
Halverson when she was just
a weanling. Her coloring was just beautiful, and
she was so darn cute that I just couldn’t resist
buying her. As a yearling she started her show
career with me as her very novice trainer/handler.
Sundae
was triple registered.AMHA. AMHR, and PtHA and has
matured at only 28 inches. She did pretty well at
the shows, considering that I hadn’t a clue as to how
to train or show a horse at halter. Her small size
was a bit of a handicap in that most of the shows we
attended were AMHR shows and she had to compete in the
same classes with bigger horses.
|
|
Sundae’s
sire was Tinker Toys Fiesta, a handsome homozygous
tobiano pinto. Like Sundae, he had that nice
brown/black/white pinto coloring . He had sired
many show foals for Michele Halverson, and is now doing
the same somewhere down south.
Sundae is in foal for
March 2007 to Houck’s McEric.

Royal
Oaks Mystical Charisma was purchased as a weanling from
Kathy and Gary Poling from Haines
City, Florida in November of 2003. In 2004, Charisma did
very well at the AMHR National Show going National
Champion Model Mare (Under) and Top Ten Color Mare
(Under). She is a black and
white pinto sired by Scott Creek Mystical Confetti out
of Century
Farms Skylar. I first saw a video
of her that
I picked
up at
the
AMHA National Show.
Polings sent me
an updated video of her at 8 months, and I was sold.
My friend Lori Schuette and I drove down to Florida to
pick her up along with a gorgeous palomino pinto
weanling colt for Gene Larscheidt and a black and white
pinto filly for Lisa VanLanen.
When
I was looking for a show filly, I especially wanted one
that was leggy with a long graceful neck. Charisma
was that and more.
I couldn’t wait for
warm
weather
so I could body
clip her and get her ready
to show. She didn’t
disappoint
me. The trot is
her gait
of choice.
Even at this age I could see
that it was something special.

With the patient help of trainer Tony Larscheidt
and his wife Gene, Charisma and I had a successful show
season. She won many yearling under, amateur, and color
classes topped with a Best In Show honor at the 2003
H.A.M.E.show in Belvidere, IL.
Charisma’s
sire
is Scott
Creek Mystical Confetti sired
by Brewer’s Orion Mystic out of G G Black
Gold.
Charisma is in foal for
April 2007 to Houck’s Stouts Van Huttenest Royal (AMHA,
AMHR National Champion Stallion Under 28” in 2004)
